Information - CHASA Sports Shooting
CHASA Sports Shooting provides CHASA members with the ability to register for and retain Dedicated Sports Shooter Status. CHASA has a wide variety of Sports Shoots on its books, which includes events for centrefire bolt-action, rimfire bolt-action, semi-auto rifles, hunting handgun, action pistol and shotgun. Also in the shoot offering are the CHASA Gong Shoot for centrefire and rimfire, the CHASA Vlakteskiet, the CHASA Dangerous Game Shoot and the last addition the CHASA Bushveld Shoot. These offer the CHASA affiliates and members a full range of options for conducting an approved shoot
Rules - CHASA Sports Shooting
The full CHASA Sports Shooting offering is now captured into a single CHASA Sports Shooting Rulebook effective 1 August 2022. Also as of August 2022 the new CHASA Sports Shooting targets will be made available. The range of CHASA targets include springbuck, impala, warthog, egyptian goose, dassie, porcupine, kudu, buffalo, jackal, caracal, baboon and the Action Pistol targets.

CHASA Baanskiet Sports Shoot
CHASA's primary shooting event is the 'Rifle Baanskiet' with Seniors, Men, Ladies and Juniors Leagues within it, as well as categories such as centre-fire, rimfire, semi-auto rifle, hunting handgun. Apart from this CHASA also offers the CHASA Action Pistol events, CHASA Gong events and CHASA Shotgun events.
Members participate at their local level and results are kept on a database, which ranks the participants for annual CHASA League Medals.
Other Shoots
The CHASA affiliates also offer other shoots at their home ranges. These include any range of events for rifle, handgun and shotgun. Contact your local affiliate for more information.
